Guessing this has been done before but couldn't immediately find anything....

First time I heard Nick Allen's "Hard way to Go" a few months back (thanks again Gouch  ) about half way through the record I instantly recognised two lines of lyric:

"Looks like nothings gonna change...

Everything remains the same...."

It is of course same as Otis Redding from his "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay", and sung more or less in exactly the same pitch / style etc (to my ears anyway!).

Otis goes on to sing "I can't do what ten people tell me to do, so I'll guess I remain the same", whereas Nick Allen goes on to sing "If she lives to a hundred and two, I still wanna be in love with you"...or something like that.

Anyway, got me wondering if anyone else had noticed this and also any other totally different songs which "share" a line or two of same lyrics? (but obviously not just same song by different artists..as there's tonnes of those I know).

Cheers, Steve
