First of all, can I just thank everyone who sent congratulations on the birth of baby Sammy, over 100 emails, thank you so much - we read every one and it really touched us that so many people would bother to email, so thanks again.
OK well the long awaited delivery of records mentioned in the last mail out has arrived. This is the big lot - a tremendous collection - and I have been struggling to come up with a way of making it fair for everyone to get a chance at the records. For instance, I've had over 20 people ask me to reserve the Four Perfections for them...how do I let one person have it and how do I chose the person?
So this is what I am going to do. I am going to enclose a list of the records which I believe to be worth £100 and over. If anyone is interested in anything, they can make me an offer over the weekend and on Monday morning. If the records reach my reserve, which will remain private but you know me and I'm pretty fair when it comes to prices, they will be sold to the highest bidder. If they don't make the reserve or they are not asked about, they will appear (or some of them will appear) on the first of the set sale lists at 2pm on Monday ok. Is this fair? I hope so.
I will do several set sales over the next few weeks and will probably do them alphabetically by artist.
There are a few rules and instructions this time so if you could bear with me: if you pay by credit card or by paypal there will be a 4% charge. I will not tell anyone what anyone else has bid on a record. I will reveal the reserve price privately but not the top bids.
