Recently I put an advert in the wants section, for a copy of BLUES & SOUL #2 Monthly mag? as my copy was very tatty?
The first issue of the magazine, was on the 1st October 1967, and I can remember, an apprentice who was into blues music, reading the first issue, and moaning about it not being as good as HOME of the BLUES, (KEN was a real WEST HAM GRAMMER SCHOOL KID) He said 'theirs loads of kid stuff in it'
BLUES AND SOUL Monthly ran to #23 November 1969, and had a metermorphisis into a bi-weekly A4 mag 2nd Jan to 15th, 1970 at the same price of 2/6d with the TEMPTATIONS on the cover in COLOR?
Since then I have noticed that the price for the magazines have gone from £10 - £20 each into 3 figuers. this is most noticable on Ranking Johnny Boys auction site, What I would like to no, is why has there been such a high jump in price?. and as such will I ever get a copy of #2??
To me the most desireable copy out of them all is BLUES & SOUL #50 DAVE
