Legendary Philly soul DJ Butterball has passed over to that great radio stn studio in the sky ....

In 1964, Butter got his foot in the door at WDAS as an advertising salesman. He was soon nicknamed "Butterball" by the stn's Jimmy Bishop. Within a few months, he was a part-time DJ at the Stn and he soon began doing an oldies show. WDAS was by far the better for his on-air antics ....
