9p Soul is night that happens every couple of months down in the small basement of the Betsey Trotwood pub in Farringdon, London, it's always on a Saturday.
It's not specifically a 'Northern' soul club but that's the direction that most of the stuff I play is coming from. Aly, Mick and Carmen all have their own particular grooves that flow between Disco, Funk, slowies, Jazz etc - all kinds of good stuff.
It was hard to pick 20 records that represent what I play, a lot of these are quite uptempo and earlier on in the evening I play a bit more slower crossovery (is that a word ?) sort of stuff but I think these are the ones that have been the most loved in that dark room at the bottom of the stairs.
