you could always post up a few titles you think are soul based and see who tries to offer you $2 for the masquaders on soul town.

but realistically you're going to want to get hold of manship's guide (he's on here as 'john manship', you could PM him) or tim brown's guide (anglo american records).

bear in mind their prices aren't always right, and are sometimes way off, but they're not a bad starting point

Some of us (most of us ?) also collect soul music in general.

I don't care if it's "northern" as long as it's good
