Hiya - I'd appreciate if anyone could shed some light on this for me. I understand there are three versions of Lou Courtney's "I Watched You Slowly Slip Away" on Philips, and I am trying to determine which one I have. I believe the hand-claps changed from version to version? I don't know more than that. What are the differences between the three versions (assuming I'm correct that there are three versions)?

John Manship has soundfiles for 2 of the 3 versions on his site, as follows:-

Version 1 - phillips stock issue, no Lou on intro, girl backing throughout

Version 3 - phillips demo, lou singing on intro, added handclaps and strong sax break..
