Hi I was wondering if anyone can recomend an alternative software for me to use.

I have been using "Total Recorder Video Pro" for quite a long time to record music from YouTube and other different web sources, this has been working great but it does not have an encoder for MP3, so I have been recording as WAV and then converting to MP3 with a "Switch Sound File Convertor". Of late I have been uploading MP3 files to Mixcloud and have been getting very mixed results, most seem to be breaking up and I have a feeling it is something to do with the conversion to MP3 from WAV????? (or maybe not)

Also of course WAV files are much larger than MP3 and I have about 19000 songs on itunes and with WAV files (not all WAV's) it is taking a huge amount of space, so much in fact I can't get all my songs on a 120GB ipod!

So can anyone recommend a different recording application for me that goes straight into MP3 format? Also is there a quick way to convert all the WAV files in itunes or is it a matter of doing them by batch and a whole lot of patience :(

Many thanks for any help!!

I use something called

JDOWNLOADER

put the youtube url in, and it will show you the various audio and video files (mp4, mp3 etc) of that track.

Simply right click the file you want and it records it in 10 seconds or so.

No converting, nothing, all files ready to go.

Brilliant, free program.
