There's a 'Mary's House' by Bobby Eaton on Zodiac (1968 I think) could be that, was covered on Boo by Roy (Cortez) Butler - sorry can't find a soundfile anywhere.

This is a great Northern track with a funk edge.

Heard it in the States and didn't managed to catch what it was called.

It started off a girl call Mary got a party going on, later singing come on Mary dance with me and I love the way you move.
