THE LEWIS SISTERS - YOU NEED ME - TAMLA-MOTOWN P/S - rec EX slv VG £20
What a beauty. Worldwide the only picture sleeve release for the Lewis Sisters. Pete Smith sold one for 100 a few years ago. Record looks and plays great, sleeve a bit worn tho. Priced accordingly. Lewis Sisters - you need me (clip).mp3
VELVELETTES - HE WAS REALLY SAYING SOMETHING - CBS VG++ £10
Most of the german orange CBS Motown releases bombed. And this one here is one of the rarest. Never came out with a picture sleeve so you're not missing out on one. Velvelettes - He was really saying (clip).mp3
SUGARPIE DE SANTON - A LITTLE TASTE OF SOUL - GEDINSON'S W/D (VG) - £25
Great uptempo Mod R&B from 1962. Looks VG-, starts with crackles but improves significantly later on. Check the soundfile SugarPie.mp3
JERRY GANEY - JUST A FOOL - VERVE D/J - EX - £45
One of the best beat ballads ever, period. Great Bill Madley production. Flip "Who am I" is nice too. JerryGaney.mp3
JACKIE HILL - WON'T YOU COME CLOSER - MAR BRITT VG++ W/D £10
Looks VG+, plays much better. Midtempo Soul/Popcorn. Nice demo. Again, priced to sell (IMO) Jackie Hill - Wont you come (clip).mp3
THE JAMES BOYS - THE HORSE (voc) / THE MULE (instr) - CBS (NL) EX - £8
Original dutch issue with sleeve. Very obscure, never seen this one before. Sleeve VG++. Nice Philly collectable.
"Horse" is a 'proper' vocal version of Cliff Nobles. 'Proper' meaning the lyrics are actually about "the horse" and not "love is alright".
