Spotlight on Gene this morning :- All good dancers if ure into northern soul oldies

disc 1

Groove it - Private Stock - Ive been hammering in the spots ive been doing over the last 12 months ... gritty midtempo with searing strings and imo just a good northern soul record

this was one of Russ's plays at the tail end of the casino days ...i love it but many will have forgotten it or dont know it..

disc 2

Catch my soul - Liberty/ Ronnex - one of Kev Roberts' early wigan sounds ,,not bad to dancer thats not seen alot of light since i would imagine...came out on UK liberty but also on a unusual label on UK ronnex....

disc 3

Sign on the dotted line - US Liberty - Tony Clayton used to hammer this at the oddfellows niters in leicester ...back to the days when u just used to dance and have a good time..still a great oldie in my opinion....does it get played these days?

regards
