Last of a batch of tapes I've converted to digital. I don't want to be accused of prolonging the yearly September Casino onslaught, and hope that people think that 40 years of celebrations is enough, but this is timely and sort of relevant. Hardly a Casino type atmosphere, but an interesting event to have elements of captured like this. Not all Wigan oldies though........the first track is a good example, here played covered up, it went on to be probably THE classic 60's newie from the Stafford era.......this was the first time I'd heard it, as a mate came over and said "wait until you hear this track Minshull's gonna play in a minute".
Anyway, DJ's here are Keith Minshull, Dave Evison, a track apiece from Tony Clayton (not a Wigan jock I know!) and Steve Whittle, and closed out by lots of Brian Rae's closing spot.
