St Paul & The Broken Bones

Went into Manchester last night to Gorilla to see St Paul & The Broken Bones, a seven piece from Birmingham Alabama.

 

The influence from Muscle Shoals, Stax is clearly evident, big bold and brassy.

 

Lead singer St Paul is a slightly chubby Alan Carr lookalike with a voice that could split wood, stark and soulful....he could have been a comedian as it goes, funny guy.

 

Well worth checking out.
