HI, HERE’S ANOTHER LIST OF NICE ORIGINALS, AS ALWAYS THESE HAVE BEEN PLAY GRADED, FOR THOSE WHO STILL CAN’T GET A HANDLE ON THIS — IF I SAY THAT THE RECORD LOOKS VERY GOOD BUT ACTUALLY PLAYS MINT — THEN IT DOES! IT WILL BE PRICED ACCORDINGLY — NOT AS A MINT RECORD BUT AS SOMEWHERE INBETWEEN VG AND MINT. A RECORD CAN LOOK LIKE IT CAME OUT OF A SKIP AND STILL PLAY SUPERBLY. I SHOULD KNOW, MOST OF MY COLLECTION LOOKS LIKE THAT…
BETTY LAVETTE — I FEEL GOOD ALL OVER / ONLY YOUR LOVE CAN SAVE ME EX 50 SOLD
Small writing on one side
THE BROADWAYS — YOU JUST DON’T KNOW — MGM DEMO VG++/EX 50 SOLD
Has a few marks and crackles before record starts — plays EX soon as it starts up. Flip side is VG+ with a sticker on label
BESSIE WATSON — I’M NEVER ALONE (I’M RICH) — JAY PEE EX 60
Very early 60’s dancer — Bessie Watson is Tobi Legend apparently
THE BLOSSOMS — THAT’S WHEN THE TEARS START — REPRISE DEMO EX 60 SOLD
A few very light paper scuffs
CANDY & THE KISSES — OUT ON THE STREETS AGAIN — SCEPTER DEMO EX 80
Again light paper sleeve scuffs otherwise perfect
CHARLES MINTZ — SINCE I FOUND YOU GIRL — UP LOOK M- 50
Not the repress, this is original (glasses logo)
DEBBIE DOVALE — HEY LOVER — ROULETTE EX 25
Teen girl dancer
EDDIE HOLMAN — STAY MINE FOR HEAVEN’S SAKE — PARKWAY DEMO EX 30
Nice West Coast demo. One mark, not affecting play
THE EXCEPTIONALS — UNLUCKY GIRL — GRT EX 50
Looks mint but has a couple of very minor background pops — rare issue copy. B side also has pops on intro, again can’t see what is causing them as it appears mint.
THE ESCORTS — THE HURT — RCA EX 40
Nice version, one small mark not affecting play, small sticker on label
EDIE WALKER — GOOD GUYS — RISING SONS DEMO VG+ 25 SOLD
Scuff at the start sound for a few rotations. Rare ‘real’ demo.
FRED PARRIS & THE RESTLESS HEARTS — LAND OF BROKEN HEARTS — ATCO EX 20
Nice oldie
HERB FAME — YOU’RE MESSIN’ UP MY MIND — DATE DEMO VG+ 20 SOLD
Frantic dancer!
H.B. BARNUM — IT HURTS TOO MUCH TO CRY — RCA EX 100 SOLD
One mark and some tiny paper scuffs — plays mint
JIMMY JONES — WALKIN’ — ROULETTE EX 40
Old 100 Club play
LITTLE ANTHONY & THE IMPERIALS — GONNA FIX YOU GOOD — VEEP VG+ 25 SOLD
Intro is VG+ and the rest plays perfectly
LITTLE JOE COOK — DON’T YOU HAVE FEELINGS — TWO JAY EX- 25
Great forgotten oldie, purple issue
MELBA MOORE — DON’T CRY SING ALONG WITH THE MUSIC — MUSICOR EX- 50
Rare stock copy of MU 1189. Light paper scuffs, really light — a little ringwear to raised part of label — plays superbly
THE MODERN REDCAPS — NEVER TOO YOUNG (TO FALL IN LOVE) — SWAN DEMO EX 50
Rare original. Promotion Copy lettering has been blanked out.
PATTY LIVINGSTON — I’VE GOT MY BABY — DIMENSION DEMO EX 30
Fantastic girl group sound
PRISCILLA THOMAS — STEP ASIDE — WINNER 7-11 DEMO EX 15
Chicago dancer
RAY LEWIS — SORRY YOU’VE GOT THE WRONG NUMBER — SMASH EX- 25
Uptempo dancer, writing on label (in red) looks like filling in label wear, it’s ok!
RAY POLLARD — THE DRIFTER — UNITED ARTISTS SOLD EX 250
OK please read carefully. Visually: light ringwear to raised part of label. Two marks, lots of small paper scuffs and a dimple in the vinyl. Right, play grade — well I can’t hear a single fault, maybe a very light background pop on the first verse but it’s a very confident EX grade and others would grade higher. And of course, so hard to find now.
Visually you’d have to say VG to VG+, plays like a dream, play grade between EX and Mint apart from before it begins. Super rare stock copy. Drill hole in label.
THE SOUL CITY — EVERYBODY DANCE NOW — GOODTIME EX 30 SOLD
Stamped original
TAMI LYNN — I’M GONNA RUN AWAY FROM YOU — ATCO DEMO EX- 25
Rare original demo, plays EX, little ring wear
VICTOR KNIGHT — CHINATOWN — RON CRIS VG++ 150 SOLD
Lots of boots of this around, beware! Looks used, little ringwear and name written in marker over logo, but again, plays like a near mint one. B side label has more writing.
THE VAN DYKES — SAVE MY LOVE FOR A RAINY DAY — MALA DEMO SOLD EX+ 150
Vinyl is beautiful, label has a small thin tear from the S in Records on the logo to the M at the start of the record number Mala 584. About one inch. (and a little wear around one edge)
I’LL GET SOME PHOTOS UP ON SOUL SOURCE OR FACEBOOK
UK POSTAGE IS £2.50 FOR THE FIRST THREE ITEMS THEN 30p EACH EXTRA AFTER

Tiny little label wear. Really tiny.

Visually you’d have to say VG to VG+, plays like a dream, play grade between EX and Mint apart from before it begins. Super rare stock copy. Drill hole in label.
