Now, I know this isn't strictly soul, what I like to think though is that soul was born from this type of sound

Anyway, it's by far my most favourite tune out of my Rockin' days!

Did she do anything else (except the renowned Ay La Bah)?

Ooooh, I'm all nostalgic  Here, have a pic of me at the time I used to jive my arse off to this...

Oh! And I own this record LOL

Oooh Baz, I looooove that track. In fact, can't think of a Falcons track I don't like.

I guess this one is my favourite.. simple because it's against the grain musically. You can't dance to it LOL. The time changes are just awesome, the percussion just drives through my body! Fucking hell... it's just the dogs bollox!

In fact.. I dare the next Dance Competiton to play that and see how the dancers react  I must say, I can dance to it because I know it intimately, but it's hard

Actually,...... I can't hehe2.gif

But Baz, that's what makes it so fucking brilliant!

Love both Dolly Coopers Especially the second one. Very sultry and sexy .Almost as tasty as the Soul Girl in her Bobby Sox incarnation.

I got into stuff like this when a mate of mind who did mail order records in the late 60s branched out into R & R.

I remember you posting that 50's esq pic before. Reminded me of Nicola Something or other. Had exactly same look. Known simply as 'Fifties' until early ninetees when she went all contemporary and had the boots etc. She then became known as 'Ninetees'. thumbsup.gif
