Markw Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 (edited) Some not-so-well-known items here to peruse on a stormy, wet Sunday. PM if anything interests you - open to offers on these. (1) Frank Pighee & The Soulettes - "Soul Feeling" (Soul Kitchen) VG to VG+ £30 - really nice solid dancer with a funky feel (2) The Hustlers - "Goodbye" (Fascination) VG+ £40 ******SOLD****** - a full on 'take-no-prisoners', uptempo Carolinas style dancer; great stuff (3) James Havior - "Girl, Girl, Girl" (Crow) EX £50 ******SOLD****** - classy, mid tempo Northern with a very atmospheric feel; this seems to have appeared on some playlists recently (4) Monopoly Ltd - "Underdog's Child" (Faithful Virtue WD) VG+ £10 ******SOLD****** - in yer face funky dancer (5) The Ovation - "Down To The Bone" (Freedom) VG+ (lots of light surface marks) £50 - seems really obscure this one; uptempo funky dancer with potential (6) The Royal Jacks - "I'm Gonna Love You" (Big 5) VG (plays great) £50 - Superb, obscure (and rare?) Carolinas version of the Intrigues' classic; I am pretty sure this got action during the Stafford era, but I could be wrong (7) The Spontains - "Uptown" (Playboy) VG to VG+ £100 ******SOLD****** - obscure and rare, uptempo, traditional male vocal 60s Northern Soul; definite potential in the right hands; I did have a top jock sniffing around it last year, but he wasn't prepared to pay sensible money because he's a tight-fisted git Soul Feeling (Soul Kitchen).mp3 Goodbye (Fascination).mp3 Girl Girl Girl (Crow).mp3 Underdog's Child (Faithful Virtue).mp3 Down To The Bone (Freedom).mp3 I'm Gonna Love You (Big 5).mp3 Uptown (Playboy).mp3 Edited November 29, 2015 by markw
