Help me with another (all too frequent) knowledge gap?

When was "Gonna love you a long time" first discovered/played?

Sounds like it ought to have been a Wheel spin and it feels like it's been around forever, but was it?

Making a transparant attempt to bring this back toward the top of the postings - still hoping for an answer!

I remember it being a Wigan biggie in 76, but more experienced people told me it was something of an oldie at the time that was being re-discovered. Was it played at the Torch? Who knows?
