Posted September 1, 20168 yr Hi All, I am trying to findout what the original release label is for the T.W Bankston track "Your the icing on the cake". Also does anyone know if Bankston produced any albums. Thank you for your time.
September 1, 20168 yr you could try here T. W. Bankston - Couldn't Put The Bottle Down listen to all ricky.
September 2, 20168 yr As trick bag pointed out with the link, the original label 45 as far as I know is "Straight Up". They were around in quantity in the late 80's over here from a few specialist dealers of new releases at the time. Came with a picture sleeve. Not sure if the LP was around [or even exists], I never saw it. Bill Shannon gave it a UK release on his "Timewarp records" imprint. That was only on 12" I believe. Hope this may help you….. All the best, Ivor
September 3, 20168 yr Yep, US 45 with picture sleeve, no album, and Bill put it out in UK on a 12". Was it on Bills Bassline imprint rather than Timewarp Uncle Ivor? There is one upstairs I think....but if you can remember the eighties you weren't really there. dean
