PM to ask any questions or reserve.
Celebrities - You don't tell the truth - Boss 502 M- £250
(Great group dancer, normally comes with reversed labels, these are the right way round and the 45 is immaculate)
Dee-Dee Sharp - Deep dark secret - Cameo 335 Ex+ £120
(Powerhouse dancer that’ll leave you gasping for breath, full of brass and sass. Vinyl plays M-, 3 pressed in bubbles that don’t affect play)
Joe Tex - Old time lover - Dial 3020 Promo Ex+ £100
(One of those big voiced oldies that should be in every box, nice on the harder Demo)
Mary Love - Born to live with heartache - Elco 444 M- £400
(Rock solid West Coast crossover, established artist so not surprising, may only be better known amongst x-over aficionados, tiny label and rare release)
Sugar N' Spice - Lucky we - Lira 777 M- £150
(Ohio rarity, not well known at all, but nevertheless a smashing little dancer in need of a break)
Marie Knight - That's no way to treat a girl - Musicor 1106 WD NM £450
(Oh yes and like Dee-Dee Sharp earlier, this is a full on, in your face pulsating floor filler still that raises the hair on the back of the neck, IMMACULATE)
Masters of Houston - Love, love, love - Ovide 232 M- £85
(There’s a rough diamond edge you get with the Texas output, this up-beat dancer is one of the rarer label releases, in great condition too)
Kelly Garrett - Loves the only answer - Smash 2195 Ex+ £220
(Another belt’s and brace’s dancer, the stocker maybe harder to find. Light label wear and drill hole)
Ann Sexton – You’ve been gone too long – Seventy Seven 104 M- £150
(Sold my Impel copy at Newbury for £50, 15 years before they showed in quantity, I missed a ZERO off the price tag and Soul Sam snuck in. Quality crossover that normally comes in beat up condition, but here’s a prime condition copy)
Rose Battiste - I can't leave you - Thelma 102 Ex+ £150
(With the girls featuring heavily in this section, here’s another house hold name, great Detroit, don’t be put off by the X and DJ Stamp on white label, the vinyl is M-, plays beautifully)
