Sam Moore – Give you plenty lovin’ – Atlantic 2762 Ex £600
Even the Artist was unaware this existed in 45 format when he released his “Plenty good lovin” album on the UK Swing Café label in 2002. That was 30 years after his Sam and Dave career, yet this powerful crossover dancer ekes class on an upbeat tempo, and why not, it was Sam Moore's rich vocals which brought him well earned commercial success and a place in Soul's hall of fame.
Cut at Atlantic studios under the stewardship of the brilliant King Curtis, there are only a small number around and its thought by many collectors to be the rarest Soul release on Atlantic.
There’s some of superficial marks on the vinyl, the odd light pop, but this has little affect as it plays superb. Some light ring wear on the labels. Scan and sound file provided.
