Al Foster Band – The night of the wolf – Roulette / EX / £175 (Club classic!! Small writing on short version side. Please note that it distorts a little on the highest flute tunes in the break but I believe this is a pressing issue rather than a condition one.)
Percy & Them – Look in the mirror of my eyes / Trying to find a new love – Roulette / EX / £150 (1977 release from John Percy Hargrove’s talented group. Killer modern soul dancer double header that would get much more interest if released on a indie label.)
Four Below Zero – E.S.P. – P&P / EX / £125 (Patrick Adams classic that needs no introduction. First label which has a slightly different mix to the one later released on Roulette.)
Bobbi Blake – Don’t take my love / Bill Joy – If only I could see you now – M.S.R. / VG+ / £100 (Super obscure and ungoogable 1980 Hollywood, CA release where the artists get one side each. Two nice modern soul sides, youtube clip from the actual copy for sale.)
Jeanette (Baby) Washington – Cup (Runneth over) – Sixth Avenue / EX / £60 (Superb version of the Ronnie Dyson track and quite rare on 45. Label on Cup side has some bubbling due to poor glueing.)
Philly Devotions – Hurt so bad – Columbia Disco Series / EX / £30 (Promo only, solid center 7 inch 33rpm 5:36 version. Only way to get this awesome full length version except from a recent bootleg 12 incher. Such a killer with just grows and grows. Stereo side has two X on label.)
Prince Phillip Mitchell – You’re all I got in the world / Falling from heaven – Atlantic / EX / £10 (Two highly recommended tracks from his “Make it good” LP. Promo copy.)
Philadelphia Flyers – Run and hide – Casablanca / EX / £10 (Fantastic punchy and super soulful Philly modern soul dancer. With 3:15 and 5:55 versions.)
Soul Injection – Stay off the moon / Girl full of charm – Accent / EX / £750 (Big spins for this energetic and fabulous dancer last few years. Flip is a very very nice ballad. Vinyl is super clean, label has neat writing on both sides.)
Compacts – Why can’t it be / That’s how my world began – Carla / EX / £650 (Rare and fantastic Detroit crossover! Flip is a superb ballad. Like all copies I’ve seen of this it’s lightly pressed off centre. Had alot of interest in the last copy I had.)
Mist – Life walked out / The girl in the window – Twinight / EX / £600 (Killer dancer + ballad sides on this Chicago rarity. Very seldom seen in this clean condition.)
Willie Brown – I think I’ll fall in love – Tri-Som / EX / £125 (Very rare and rather lovely crossover dancer featuring some superb vocals. This backing was later re-used for the Swingmasters “Boogie on down” on the Guess label. Small label tear.)
Ray Lewis – Too sweet to be lonely / Sitting at home with my baby – D’ar / EX / £125 (Two great crossover sides. “Too sweet to be lonely” being a superior version to the Internationals cut, and the flip a Willie Tee soundalike. Orange label copy.)
Betty Everett – Wondering – Fantasy / EX / £100 (Stunning crossover slowie on a super rare issue only 45. Only ever seen this one and the copy I keep in my private collection.)
Fuller Bros – Stranger at my door – Soul Clock / EX / £90 (The nice more crossover feel version of this great track. Labels are glued on a little bit off center.)
Spencer Wiggins – Take time to love your woman / I can’t be satisfied – MGM Sounds of Memphis / EX / £30 (Two midtempo southern soul sides with a crossover feel on a rare 45.)
Barbara Mason – Your old flame – Buddah / EX / £25 (One of my dearest Philly soul cuts. First appeared on her 1970 National General album and one year later on this 45 which is quite scarce.)
Clinton Harmon – I want to get close to you – Sound Stage 7 / VG+ / £20 (Nice southern soul for the real soul lover. Record surface has stained look, plays great. Label has partial ring wear.)
Voltaire’s – My, my, my baby / Movin’ movin’ on – Bacone / EX / £450 (Group harmony NS dancers of the highest quality. Record has a slight warp which is not affecting play. MMO-side has X on label.)
Chuck Bridges – Don’t you make me cry – Scoop / EX / £300 (Fast, rare and furious NS dancer out of San Francisco. DJ copy, flipside has fingertip sized label tear.)
Donnie Williams – Boogie Chillins playhouse – Pure Gold / EX / £300 (Super rare and super high quality R&B dancer with a deep hypnotic feel. Memphis gold, ignore the title! Vinyl looks clean but plays a little crackly in the intro before clearing up fine, likely to do with the pressing which is loud and nice apart from this.)
Percy Wiggins – That’s loving you – A-Bet / VG+ / £110 (Original! High quality and highly classic NS dancer. First release with grey/orange/yellow label design. Vinyl has a few light marks, plays well.)
Darrow Fletcher – Infatuation / Little girl – Jacklyn / VG+ / £80 (Classic dancer backed with a more overlooked but equally great lowrider type of flip. Vinyl is pretty much free from scratches, and plays great, but has shady/cloudy look to it.)
Homer Banks – 60 minutes of your love – Minit / VG+ / £30 (His second release for the label, solid old school NS dancer. Audition copy complete with company sleeve. Record has a few light sleeve marks, plays well.)
Impressions – Can’t satisfy – Abc / VG+ / £8 (Evergreen NS dancer, Impressions tries on the Motown sound. Record has a couple of scuffs not affecting play.)
Tommy McGee – Now that I have you / Stay with me – TMG / EX / £225 (Clean copy of this Detroit soul killer double header, now rarely seen and when it is usually in Detroit-condition. Both sides just slays it.)
Errol Stubbs – Spaced out on your love – E&R / EX / £175 (As new copy of this heavily indemand spaced out ballad. As soulful as they come. Vinyl looks clean but plays with a little static likely due to the pressing. Youtube link has soundfile from the actual copy for sale.)
Three Flights Up – I’m only half – Benin Music Company / EX / £150 (Major two step rarity, especially rare in this clean condition. Such a tune!! Label has distributor sticker.)
Lee McDonald – Gotta get home / Show me – Debbie / EX / £80 (One of the best two step cuts ever recorded backed with a nice ballad. This is alternative versions from the LP and only found on this rare 45.)
Al Hunter Big “Al” the Ladies Pal – Early morning – SOC / EX / £75 (Alternative version from the Big City release. Lowrell Simon/Wayne Henderson made two step goodie on a very rare Chicago indie release. Very slight warp not affecting play.)
Perry Hines – Use me – Ham-Sem / EX / £50 (Killer programmed two step version of the Bill Withers song. Well rare on 45. One I will hammer on our forthcoming Slowjams nights.)
Ben Vereen – I’ll keep a light in my window – Buddah / VG+ / £15 (By far the best take of this well covered song originally done by Caston & Majors on Motown. Rare issue only release.)
Johnston Brown & Janice Dowlen – Just two people in love – Heat / VG+ / £8 (Highly recommended two step, duet with a amazing instrumental break. Instrumental flip has a mark causing clicks, clean copy apart from that.)
Dee Edwards – It comes to my attention – Morning Glory / EX / £8 (Awesome re-make of the Cloe Martin song. As featured on the promo mix for our Slowjamz club nights. White label/purple writing label variation.)

Funky flip for those into that. I could have sold over ten copies when I listed one at £450 earlier this year, and no other copies came up for sale since so asking a slightly higher price here.)

Family Connection – This time – Jabali / EX / £100 (Definite original copy of this heavily sought after slowie. One that actually works for the dancefloor as well. Label has a little wear.)
Inclinations – I’m gonna make love last this time / The harder we try – Janus / EX / £100 (Clean issue copy complete with company sleeve of this double sided sweet soul monster.)
Charles Johnson – I bet’cha don’t know – Mighty Mo / EX / £80 (Major 1975 TK rarity. Killer JR Bailey/Ken Williams ballad similar to the ones they made for groups like Main Ingredient around the same time. Label has bb hole.)

Copeland Davis Group – Morning spring / No arms can ever hold you – PDA / NM/NM / £25 (Very nice little reissue bringing us the fantastic Marvin Gaye-ish “Morning spring” on 45 for the first time. Very limited press which sold out in no time. New copy, comes with picture sleeve plus picture inlay.)
Odyssey – Battened ships / Our lives are shaped by what we love – Mowest/Universal / NM/NM / £25 (Brand new Japan reissue that comes in company sleeve, plastic cover with sticker and a lovely looking picture insert with lyrics on the back. The two good tracks off the album together on a 45 for the first time. Limited press but I have not figured out to how many copies but this series are always sold out quickly and only ever available in Japan.)
Family of Eve – Please be truthful / Get off on it – Full Sail / EX / £70 (Sought after 2007 release featuring a previously unissued tracks, one being an alternative version of their club classic “Please be truthful”.)
James Mason – I want your love / Nightgruv – Mighty Fine / EX/EX / £60 (Two deep sides recorded in the 1980’s but unreleased at the time. This is the 1996 first press, was later re-issued by Soul Brother and by Rush Hour.)
Leroy Hutson – The unreleased boogie tracks Vol. 1 / S/S / £40 (Two superb previously unreleased tracks on a 2017 very limited reissue that sold out directly and now sold for much more than the asking price here on Discogs. “Now that I found you” + “Reality”.)
Mike James Kirkland – Hang on in there – Bryan / EX/EX / £225 (Nice clean copy of this legendary rare soul album. Whole album is solid listening throughout.)
Mike Kirkland – Doin’ it right – Bryan / EX/VG+ / £225 (The as classic follow up and also a superb LP. Includes “You put it on my mind” and is a solid album throughout. Cover is a solid VG+ with just a hint of ring wear and a little wear on the edges.)
Tody Tucker – Tody Tucker is love – JB’s / EX/VG+ / £90 (With the lovely crossover track “What’s wrong with our love”. Rare soul LP on this legendary label featuring releases by Richard Caiton, Charles Brimmer, Cynthia Scheeler and more. Featuring the Cover just shy of EX with a small mark.)
Wilson Williams – Up the downstairs – Abc / EX/VG+ / £65 (Very indemand album and rightly so. “I think it’s gonna work out fine”, “Faith will bring it home”, “I like being in love with you”, “All that glitters ain’t gold” and “Groovy feeling” are all awesome, both for home listening purposes and for the dancefloor. Cover basically EX condition with just the slightest beginning of wear plus golden not for sale stamp on front.)
Wilson Williams – Up the downstairs – Abc / VG+/VG+ / £60 (Like the copy above but has a tiny tiny tear on front cover, plus a shade like stain one vinyl edge which is not affecting play. Other than that the vinyl looks clean.)
Ann Sexton – The beginning – Sound Stage 7 / EX/EX / £60 (Legendary album! Filled to the brim with great cuts, one of the few 70’s soul albums that is a solid listening throughout. Cover has cut out hole and one label side a small and slight shade like mark. Other than that a very clean copy.)
