What is the difference between the original and "European boot"?

I appreciate this is a really old post but I have the “Italian” boot.

 

It’s a rather quiet record.

 

I’d like to know if there’s any distinct difference in the sound quality or volume lever between the original and the boot. 
 

I know sometimes boots are cut from MP3’s affecting the sound quality but can anyone help me out on this ?
