Here's a 45 that has the distinction of being utterly amazing and impossibly rare. Bay Area record hunters will tell you, this one almost never turns up. It does play with some ticks and background noise, but in my opinion it is still a perfectly usable copy. Listen to the soundclips for both sides so you can decide for yourself:
I will take offers for a couple days. Offers can be submitted via PM or by email to kidinquisitive [at] gmail dot com.
P.S. The writing on the label may actually be Darondo's autograph though there's no way to be certain.
Village Crusaders - Akiwawa b/w Hashishi, Trans-America
strong VG condition (plays excellent), $75
One of my all-time favorite funk 45s with hard drum breaks, flute solos, the whole shebang. And the b-side is a great Latin jazz number. Light marks but plays great.
Darondo - Legs b/w Let My People Go, Af-Fa World
condition is VG minus. Accepting offers.
