Denise LaSalle - Here I am again / Hung up, strung out - Westbound / EX / £50 (Epic modern soul dancer that will enlighten any dancefloor. Issue copy with a great slowie on the flip.)
Jeff Perry - Love don’t come no stronger / I’ve got to see you right away - Arista / EX / £25 (Iconic modern soul backed with absolutely sublime slowie which is his best song IMO. Small rubber stamp star on label.)
N’Cole - You’re gonna need this love / Thank you for the love - Millenium / EX / £15 (More desirable vinyl copy of this excellent modern soul double header. Complete with company sleeve, one label side has 99C rubber stamp.)
Rene & Angela - I love you more - Capitol / EX / £15 (Classic soulful boogie, what a bassline! 3:33 and more down to business on 45, the version for club spins. Writing on label. Company sleeve has wrinkle and tear on back.)
Bobby Caldwell - The house is rockin - PBR International / VG+ / £12 (Same sided white demo of this classic modern/disco sound. One side has a scuff causing clicks, other plays fine.)
Ray Munnings - It can happen to you - EMI America / see desc / £10 (Killer modern soul dancer that is usually seen on UK Tammi label. Vinyl is clean apart from a heat mark causing it to stick in the last second or two in the outro. Plays fine before that. With company sleeve.)
Free Spirit - Love you just as long as I can - Chess / EX / £5 (Perhaps my all time Philly fave, perfect dancer. The issue copy with the better mix. Sticker on label.)
Pioneers - My good friend James - Mercury / EX/EX / £175 (Lovely reggae soul dancer. There’s a bit of a debate if “James” actually is the lead singers reproduction organ rather than a bad kid with poor influence. Nice clean copy complete with company sleeve.)
Carl Carlton - I can feel it - Back Beat / EX / £175 (NS classic written by Jo Armstead. Cheaper than Discogs here! And certainly much lower than it fetched on the recent Manship auction.)
Sebastian Williams - Get your point over - Ovide / EX / £90 (Now classic crossover, superb stuff! Was the tune everybody played when I first got into rare soul here in Stockholm in the late 1990’s.)
Larry Reynolds - Take away the big hurt / Please pretty please - Tri-Spin / EX / £80 (Gritty NS dancer backed with deep soul ballad. Dance side really sounds good loud and out in the club. One of LJ Reynolds first recordings and an Horace Ott production.)
King Saul – Baby it’s you – GCS / EX / £50 (Huge personal fave, top drawer two step with a spoken intro. One I used in the 9th volume of my two step mixes.)
Sssence - If you want me / What love has joined together - Lance / EX / £45 (Killer early 80’s Chicago double header. Super soulful two step backed with a superb mid tempo dance version of the Smokey Robinson tune. Two small X on mid tempo side.)
C# Sharp with the Love Machine - My turn to shine - Rock-Candy / EX / £15 (Awesome, soulful two step. Shares the same backing with JR Funk “I really hope you understand”. Generic sleeve.)
Pieces of a Dream - Warm weather - Elektra / EX / £5 (White demo of this classic rare groover/stepper. One side has slight stain from sticker, one tear from sticker.)

Topics - Choice of a million girls / Man - Token / EX / £30 (Sweet soul masterpiece backed with a good modern dancer. A rare and expensive titles before quantity turned up a bunch of years back. Should been soaked up in collections with price raising soon.)
Skip Mahoney – Janice / Don’t stop now – Salsoul / EX/VG+ / £60 (White demo copy of this classic, complete with company sleeve with title sticker. Don’t miss out on the b-side! Cover just shy of EX with a tiny bit of general wear.)
Sylvia Striplin - You can’t turn me away / Give me your love - Uno Melodic / EX / £20 (Original copy of this classic double header, one side rare groove one side disco.)
Beginning of the End - s/t - Alston / EX/EX / £350 (Their rare second release and a true rare groove classic. Filled with great cuts like “Bluestrain”, “Jump in the water”, “Bahamian boogie” and “That’s what I get”. As new copy and still in shrink.)
Demon Fuzz - Afreaka! - Janus / EX/VG / £275 (Classic rare groove title, with emphasizing rare. Dee, jazzy and funky. White promo copy. Cover has cut out saw mark and ring wear, as well as a small upper seam split.)
Ruby Andrews - Black ruby - Zodiac / EX/VG+ / £125 (Classic Chicago rare soul album. With superb soul cuts like “Just loving you” and “The love I need” as well as more hard edged funky soul. Cover has cut out hole and a hint of ringwear.)
La Familia - Brown stuff - BSR / VG+/VG+ / £25 (1975 LP from the “Do you love me”-guys. With “La batea” which is a rather good latin funk tune. Record has light marks, cover light wear. Plays ok.)
Leslie Drayton Orchestra - Love is a four letter word - Esoteric / EX/VG+ / £8 (With the great LP only “When will you be mine?”. A superb modern soul dancer featuring Barbara Morrison on vocals. Vinyl is clean, cover in nice shape but with a little light staining.)

Gradings
NM – spotless record. One grading I don’t really use – one tiny mark/scuff/flame/scratch and it’s EX. Many new records will not make this grade.
EX – Basically everything that will look and play great.
VG+ – Will have marks that may very moderately affect play. Might have fairly large amount cosmetic marks not affecting play.
VG – Lots of marks, should still play fairly well but not perfect.
VG- – Lots and lots of marks, see description on how it plays.

Gradings
NM – spotless record. One grading I don’t really use – one tiny mark/scuff/flame/scratch and it’s EX. Many new records will not make this grade.
EX – Basically everything that will look and play great.
VG+ – Will have marks that may very moderately affect play. Might have fairly large amount cosmetic marks not affecting play.
VG – Lots of marks, should still play fairly well but not perfect.
VG- – Lots and lots of marks, see description on how it plays.
