Hello and welcome to the K-Mart Records February 2019 list!
A 45’s only one this time around. Not a massive list but look closely for some great music and seldom seen discs.
Apart from vintage 45’s we have a brand new release from my home town Stockholm. By Soul Tune All Stars and two excellent sides of retro soul entitled “Natural feeling” and “World”. Find it in the modern soul section and priced at £8. Limited press to 500 copies.
As always just PM to reserve and I will get back to you with total and payment details. And as always all records are offered on a first come, first serve basis and many sell within minutes from the list going out so be quick. All payments over £150 needs to be either sent as gift, or add 4% to the total to cover paypal fees.

Modern Soul & Two Step 45’s
Memphis – Inside my love / Shake & rock ’till the police knock – West Coast / EX / TRADES (Trying out a new thing here. Got a spare of this timeless beauty and looking to trade for rare two step/modern/crossover. If interested just let me know what you have. Just one of the best cuts ever made! Was my top want for many years and I almost paid up a whopping £2000 for a copy back in 2005. But luckily didn’t and got one from Vox Pop in Manchester a couple of months later for a more moderate £500.)
James “Bootie” Tuten – This is a love affair / I’ll never let you say goodbye – Ultimate / EX / £200 (Powerful modern soul dancer, great stuff! Flip is nice midtempo with a Bill Cosby kind of theme.)
Shadow – Freedom street – SR / EX / £150 (Aka Winston Bailey. Charming, quirky 1981 Trinidad dancer on a very rare 45. The 12 inch is rare, no entries of the 45 online, clip from the actual 45 for sale. Comes in distribution sleeve, label has stamp and small writing.)
Bobbi Blake – Don’t take my love / Bill Joy – If only I could see you now – M.S.R. / VG+ / £90 (Super obscure 1980 Hollywood, CA release where the artists get one side each. Two nice modern soul sides with Bill Joy being the better one. Youtube clip from the actual copy for sale.)

Chuck Strong – You beat me at my game – Music Mountain / VG / £50 (Rare first label and first version! Killer modern soul, why it’s not as big as Bileo, Master Force etc is beyond me. Vinyl has light marks, plays well but not perfect. Clip from actual copy for sale.)
Donald Byrd – (Fallin’ like) Dominoes – Blue Note / EX / £45 (Mizell Bros classic! Complete with company sleeve, rare on 45. Lots of interest on my last copy.)
Sssence – If you want me / What love has joined together – Lance / EX / £40 (Killer early 80’s Chicago double header. Super soulful two step backed with a superb mid tempo dance version of the Smokey Robinson tune. Two small X on mid tempo side.)

Richard Cook – Somebody got’a help me / Love is so mean – Tragar / VG+ / £160 (Gritty dancer backed with gritty midtempo on the classic Atlanta, GA label. Old Stafford c/u as Del-Tours. Just shy of EX with a few light marks not affecting play.)
