I must confess to spending as much time watching the credits on early 70s blaxploitation movies as I do yeh movies themselves. A quick look at Coffey reveals Denise a Bridgewater a.k.a. DeeDee singing the title track Coffy Baby for Roy Ayres and Harry Whitaker followed by another Career backing singer Wayne Garfield singing shining symbol from the pen of Carl Clay and Ayers. Another credit is Harry Whitaker who joined Roy in Ubiquity and Black Renaissance, as did Garfield for singing and songwriting duties.
