RSD Black Friday is 29th November 2019.

We've found that the whole RSD Black Friday is a bit "neither here nor there" in the shop to be honest. The matter is compounded by the fact that in the rest of the retail world BF is seen as sale time, whereas the RSD releases are often expensive imports. It's confusing for customers and this has been fed back to the industry by indie shops.

On that basis, we order very few RSD BF releases - essentially just things that we think will definitely sell over time or those in which our customers have definitely expressed an interest. With the exception of the Dr John album, which could appeal to fans of funky, jazzy, psycheledic gear, here's not really much to interest soul collectors this year apart from the Motown Rare and Unreleased album as detailed below.

We'll be stocking this for the shop. As per RSD rules, we can't take pre-orders, but unlike the regular RSD releases, we're allowed to list online the following day, so if anyone is interested, it could be worth dropping us an email on Sat 30th November to enquire if we have copies left:

and here's the entire list in case anyone is interested - it's worth noting that there could be some late additions...
