Mondays menagerie of soulful sides, a great mix here, some classic double siders amongst them!
Happy to provide additional pictures or sound files if requested.
PM any questions or to reserve.
Alcon Shades – All is forgiven – Blue Rock 4068 Ex £75 SOLD
(Quirky brass driven dancer, superb female lead with male group backing, very nice, light label wear, typical with Blue Rock labels)
Ohio Players – You don’t mean it – Compass 7015 Ex £70
(Flat but engaging vocals over this funky edged dancer, nice on Compass stock copy, light ring wear)
Aquamen – Line and track – Hiback 109 M- £650
(Out and out stomper, on this floor filler, stunning condition too)
Paul Anka – When we get there – RCA 9457 M- £300
(Black stock copies on this label as collectable as anything else on the scene, can’t believe this man’s still going strong and a senior A-lister on the LA circuit)
Frank Beverley & Butlers – If that’s what you wanted / Love (your pain goes deep) – Sassy 1002 WD Ex+ £750 SOLD
(A shade off the condition of my previous copy, but only a couple of lit lines off M-, and 2 brilliant sides, ignore the rare flipside at your peril)
Jack Montgomery – Dearly beloved / Do you believe it – Scepter 12125 Ex £300
(Double sider of monster proportions, drill hole)
Sam Fletcher – I’d think it over – Tollie 9012 WD Ex+ £400
(What an intro, dulcet tones again draw’s the listener in, achingly good soul on a lovely white demo, just as a couple of light pops as the run in goes off, can see why)
