Further to my recent article on Joe Valentine, I have now mounted one on Timmy Willis, who you will recall cut sides like "Mr Soul Satisfaction" (which pleased the northern fans) and "Easy As Saying 1-2-3" (which was a magnificent deep-soul winner). My article contains a couple of things which I have managed to confirm and which I have not seen elsewhere before, namely the exact date that the Muscle Shoals Sound Studio commenced operations and the date, place and session men relating to Timmy Willis' four Jubilee sides. I would also like to thank and credit Rob Moss (I believe of this forum) for his interview with Willis' producer, George McGregor from which some of my text is drawn. The article is available for 7 days for safe download from this URL
