(Big names Isaac Hayes, David Porter and C.L. Blast all involved on this cool Memphian dancer, whose Soul Men do sound like they may have a female insurgent!)

(Very catchy finger popping girly dancer, perfect surface, juts red penciled wavy line either side of top side centre, when an X would have done!)

😎 Sandy Williams – Pushing a good thing to far – 4 Corners 137 WD M- £150

(Covered by Barbara Lewis, this wonderful version has laid back instrumentation that allows her deeply rich vocals and engineers a feel good factor, a bit like Sandy Golden - Masterpiece, albeit a bit faster.  Comes with company sleeve, edge split, and flip has date stamped)

(fantastic west coast stable was Mirwood, and this is right up there amongst the tunes we were brought up on)

(I have 2 artists photos of this girl, butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth, but this typically Okeh production is punchy R&B with a hint of female authority, not at all the style we’d expect after her Big Top, Swan and Number One label releases)

(Wow, never ceases to amaze me how perfect this track is, traditional Northern anthem at its best)
