Tony Blackburn plays one  "Northern Soul Dance Floor Filler" record every week on his Sounds of the Sixties, Sat morning 6 till 8 show.

It was good to hear the great rarity "Check it Baby" by Willie and the Mighty Magnificents - All Platinum, this morning. He said it was played at Top Dog Soul events. Some weeks are a poor selection, but this week makes up for that!

I missed that one but it's loads better than his usual selections which range from cringeworthy to dire.  Paul O'Grady always plays a northern track on his Sunday radio show which is usually fair

Paul O'Grady always plays a northern track on his Sunday radio show which is usually fairly reasonable but a bit predictable.
