Mega rare sister funk twofer that very very rarely shows up. Many will be familiar with ‘Muddy Waters’ one of the many great cuts that made up g the Sister Funk 2 compilation, but the flip is something else. Had some plays at the more upfront venues in the UK and Europe and should be massive, is an absolute bomb. Rarely offered for sale, with only a handful through eBay and Discogs, don’t sleep.
Versatile Gents - You’ve Blown My Mind (Linco) Vg+ £75 Sold
Funky edged group harmony bomb, had plays in Europe and the UK thanks to some of the more progressive thinking DJs. This one still has plenty of legs in it as I don’t think it’s ever reached the masses, sounds absolutely bang on for now.
Out of Sights - I Can’t Take It/Baby You Got It (Saru) Vg (light crackle on intro but clears up quickly and plays clean thereafter listen to a clip of both sides below) £75 Sold
Bargain. This one is rare as hen’s teeth, believe it or not ‘For The Rest Of My Life’ has gone through eBay almost twice as many times as this! Funky edged group soul twofer with both sides lacking exposure (rarity?) and sounding just right for now. ‘I Can’t Take It’ is probably the better known of the two sides, but ‘Baby You Got It’ shades it for me.
