Victory Travelers - I’ve Been Changed (Courtn’) Mint- £80 Sold
Gospel funk bomb out of Gene Cash’s stable. Comped on one of the Numero LPs but still seems relatively unknown. Should be massive, killer drums, heavenly (sorry) harmonies and one of the grittiest leads ever. In yer face, upfront, funky gospel soul that is bang on for now.
Pendulum Swingers - Never Should Have Loved You Baby (Pendulum) Vg+ (lots of hairlines but plays well, sound clip below) £35
Something of a collectors 45 this one and highly regarded (was a Butch tip I believe some years ago). Fabulous mid tempo group harmony/sweet soul cut that is damn near impossible to find in playable condition (almost every copy I’ve ever come across has been beat), this one has a fair few hairlines but plays strong Vg+.
Infectious, under the radar rhythm and soul dancer from ‘68, amazed this isn’t massive - perfect for DJs looking for something different. Again, hard to find in this sort of clean condition.
Wilton Crump - Give Your Live To Me (Olive Branch) Mint- £50 Sold
Gorgeous mud 70s sweet soul that’s still somewhat under the radar on this side of the Atlantic but highly sought after in the US amongst the lowrider crowd. Not an easy pull either especially in this condition, - clean labels, clean vinyl a beauty.
