Monster rare, under the radar, funky edged banger that’s had some exposure in Europe thanks to Andreas Beraha and is finally getting some action thanks to some of the more forward thinking DJs and events in the UK (Rhythm, Soul & Funk for one). Fewer than 10 copies have gone through eBay and Discogs and my last copy flew out at £150 (this is slightly cheaper due to tape residue on label and slightly lower grade vinyl, but plays as well as the last one). Rarity alone should make this a £300 record and once word gets out price can only rise.

Double sided dynamite and his best by a country mile. ‘Wishing’ is a simply stunning lower ballad that just oozes class and is quite rightly in high demand stateside. Flip it for under the radar, underplayed in your face, aggro soul that’s been getting plays thanks to Samuel Hugosson. These don’t come to market often and even more rarely in nice clean condition like this one, a tiny piece of biro on label being it’s only blemish (why do so many of these have the biro on label?).
