Killer drums on this early 70s funk edged banger from the ‘Losing Again’ man. Personally one of my favourites from an incredible back catalog of recordings. Getting plays via those in the know including Neil Youdale. A much harder 45 to find than many think check the numbers on Discogs and Popsike, copies are few and far between. An upfront bomb for under a ton.
Joe Bataan - Johnny’s No Good /This Boy (Fania WD) £100
Lesser known and fantastic Latin tinged funk edged dancer that sounds bang on for now, perfect for the more progressive DJs and collectors and already getting plays thanks to the likes of Brian Maguire. Must be Bataan’s rarest 45, just two through Discogs and 14 through eBay in 15 years! Flip is a gorgeous sweet soul version of the Beatles track (I shit you not, listen below) b/w fantastic
