Ward Burton – Sweet temptation – Panther 5 Ex £2000

Popularity from DJs and collectors for this this silky smooth mid-tempo track continues to rise. This copy comes from a fellow band member of a friend who practically lived at the Mark V Studio in Greenville. Both played in ‘Bojax’ who recorded on Panther, and my friend was very tight with writer Will Hammond, friends with Moses Dillard, the Showmen and the Nomads of Mo-Groov fame, but more remarkably for me he went to school with Martha Starr.

The vinyl is Ex and just short of M- with just the lightest storage marks, nothing in it really but trying to be conservative. The top side label shows some light ring wear, hence grading at Ex, but it plays very nicely. Just this week seen a copy go through eBay at £2.3k plus about £350 VAT to add if coming to the UK, so an opportunity to secure one as prices continue to climb on this desirable 45.
