I'm trying to remember what this lyric comes from

"People tell me there are hard (rough) times ahead"

This is the opening line or words very much like it, I think this is late 70s early 80s, maybe Ronnie McNeir

The spoken intro of this sounds a bit like the opening line.

The track is called " Hold On " .
