I’ll probably regret this in six months because this is a relatively under the radar lowrider bomb just waiting to go off! That intro is just so fucking good. Flip it for a drum heavy funk edged slab of R&B that is simply perfect for today’s upfront dance floors. Big US lowrider dealer has one on Cogs at at over £200 but he’s probably a few months ahead with that price, rest assured though this will be a £300+ 45 once it gets heard more widely.
El Dorados - Looking In From The Outside (Paula WD) Ex £75
A great example of lowrider 45s that were once cheap and are now three figure records! A sublime slab of group soul that just oozes class. White Demo too which I’ve not come across before, not an easy find and demand is still rising.
Versatiles - Lonely Man/Cry Like A Baby (Staff) Mint- £60
Price is rising sharply on this one one thanks to demand for the dagger that is ‘Lonely Man’, a superb piece of lowrider group harmony. Flip is a better known northern oldie that still sounds great! Seen this at over £100 and deservedly so as it’s not common by any means.
