the 'hot' ranking is automatically added to an event in listing to indicate that the event is getting a lot of interest from members.

There are several automatic factors that need to be matched/exceded for this to be shown on an event listing

To avoid promoters 'gamimg' the guide, the factors and the qualifications used do and will change regularly and will remain non-public

Due to certain promoters 'gaming' in the past or/and promoters currently 'calling' the guide and the site because their event wasn't 'hot'  according to our critera, this feature has now been switched off.

the last current set of  critera was

views >= 1250 and comments >=5  and rsvp_attendees >= 6

any event which reached the current criteria automatically got the 'hot' tag in the listing
