In 1974 William Devaughn released ‘Be thankful for what you’ve got’ on the Roxbury label, which became a classic staple of the scene. However in 1980 he recorded an LP where he took his previous release and remixed it and modernised it for the album. It got a 12” release at the time, but not many know that it got a 7” release in the US, which is quite obscure.
