Tough bangers - something different with soundfiles

A few bangers and obscurities, reluctantly listed to fund recent purchases. No extended holds please - quick payment needed. Postage is to be added. Paypal F&F (or please add extra to cover my fees) or bank transfer.

 

(1) Andre Scott - "Shadows Knows" (Neely) VG-  £200

  • very obscure and rare funk-edged Chicago R&B with bags of potential
  • only gone through Discogs/Ebay a couple of time - only play trace is Mr Fine Wine's show last year
  • fortunate to bag a really nice copy, hence this is spare - won't come up often though


(2) Baby Love - "Is Your Love Real" (De Mo Rr Is) VG  £100    ***SOLD***

  • Gospel Bob favourite - uptempo funky R&B, dancefloor dynamite on its 1st release label
  • Copies have dried up and is now not an easy one to track down
  • Bags of potential to cross over to mainstream Northern dancefloors
  • Plays great

(3) Henry Ford - "I Love You, And Need You" (Starfall) EX/M-  £150   ***SOLD***

  • Brilliant Chicago funky soul, again with excellent potential to crossover to more traditional Northern dancefloors

(4) The Jades - "I Know The Feelin" (Poncello) EX/M-  £500

  • Old tape 80s/90s tape swappers fave, now rightly held up for being a tough one - reluctant sale

(5) King Earnest - "You Gonna Miss Me" / "The Soul Stroke" (Sonic) VG+  £300    ***SOLD***

  • Awesome double-side dancer for funk-edged and trad Northern dancefloors
  • Couple of minor surface scuffs on "Miss" side keep this copy off an EX grading

(6) Lee Jones & the Unforgotten Two - "I Got To See My Baby" (Kris) VG  £150     ***SOLD***

  • Rare and obscure vocal/instrumental gritty mid tempo R&B/Northern - won't see this again in a hurry


(7) Oliver Christian - "Dissatisfied Man" (Legrand) EX  £500   ***SOLD***

  • Slight departure from the other items listed, an absolutely superb funk-edged 70s dancer in top condition

(8) Soul Explosives - "Tryin To Get Down" EX  £250   ***SOLD***

  • As gritty and raw as it gets - deep funk classic reissued in 2016, here on rare original

(9) Spencer Jackson Family - "We Have Decided" (Pyramid East)  VG+/EX slt ringwear  £250    ***SOLD***

  • This is a remake (there were many!!) of their Zulu release under a slightly different title - better version IMHO
  • Also rarer than the Zulu version - very seldom turns up and is not on YouTube etc
