Posted July 20, 20231 yr Dear readers, It's been gnawing away at me but my memory has failed me. I'm trying to recall a record about a wounded matador who perishes during the course of the song. Early to mid 60s. I think a group and I see a yellow label. Just can't remember. Edited July 20, 20231 yr by Dukeofburgundy
July 21, 20231 yr Les Harris, And the Bull Walked Around Olay? Matador is gored by bull and dies. But '50s, pre-soul.

The record concerned was filed away some years ago. If I could just remember the name of the group it would help. The record I'm thinking of is a cross between doo-wop/eraly soul.
July 21, 20231 yr Solution Strange how the mind works. I was looking at another current topic in Soul Source that speculates on the link between record producer Gregory Carroll and Earl Jackson. IThe New York location for Gregory had me wondering if he was related to Earl Carroll of The Cadillacs. Then the epiphany .... it's an old Cadillacs record I was thinking of for two days!
