The girls certainly had faith in ‘Imitation’ as it’s appears as the flip to all three of their exceptionally rare 45s. A gorgeous, and lesser known sweet soul ballad seen here in possibly its rarest format (this release isn’t even listed on Discogs). Flip it for a somewhat messy but nonetheless fabulous uptempo number. A very rare 45.
The Wingtips - Ain’t No Big Thing (Poverty) strong Vg (some label damage see image) £75
One of the most covered and well loved compositions, with plenty of better known versions but this garage soul obscurity, for me at least, is one of the best. A Vg+ sold for over $200 a week or so ago so this is a bargain by comparison. Strong Vg, hear for yourself clip below from actual 45.
King Solomon’s Advisors - Back Of My Mind/The Tight Rope (Ghetto) Mint- £25
Killer lowrider 45 with a banging dancer on the flip. Two or three years ago this was a £15 45, but the demand for this type of sound has grown to such an extent that recent Discogs sales are at £40 and growing. Another set for increasing demand and higher prices, it has as way to go yet IMHO.
