Tempettes - If You Only Knew/Dummy Dummy Dum Dum (Impresario) Mint- £125
Semi-known funk edged girl group double sider. Top side has no YouTube (until I uploaded the clip below) and seems to be virtually unknown (the better of the two sides for me too). Flip has just the one YT and certainly isn’t widely known. A rare 45 too with just a handful through Discogs and eBay. Given it’s rarity and quality this one’s a bargain!
Jay Lyle - How Good Can It Get (Angel City) Mint- £100
Killer semi-known funk edged R&B that’s had plays from the likes of Paul Vine amongst others. A tough 45 to acquire that doesn’t seem to gone to market often with a top sale of £140 on Discogs. Plenty of legs left in this one!
Teddy Huffam and The Gems - Guilty (RUC) Ex (some light background which I assume is a pressing defect as this looks almost like new) £75 ***HEAR IT***
Killer Gospel banger that is both exceptionally rare and relatively unknown. Last Discogs copy sold for £200 and with only a handful ever appearing on Discogs and eBay this another bargain. Lots of potential in this one, had a few plays via progressive DJs that actually have a copy but lots of legs left in it!
Bill Morgan & The Rubber Band - Old Woman (Brown Hat Records) Vg- £75 ***HEAR IT***
One look at that label tells you this is a ridiculously rare 45! Probably not in the best condition but then it’s only other entry on YT is in much the same condition and and Craig Moerer has one in G+ at about £350 on Discogs. Funk edged R&B that’s pretty much unknown and sounds so right for now. Hear a clip from the actual 45 below.
