Can anyone give any info on We The People - If we can fly to the moon on Map City  301.

I have a D.J. Copy not for sale Stereo D.J. which has the same tune on both sides of the record.

According to various internet sources We The People only recorded 6 singles, 2 on Map City, 1 on Verve and 3 on Lion. The one in my collection being the 1st release in Nov 1969, as the title coincided with the Apollo 11 landings in Jul of that year.

The song is written by Landy McNeal who is also a member within the group, other members were apparantly; Robert Taylor, Shebi Weems, Billy McEachern and Terry Gonzales with McEachern later to join the group Odyssey.

As I said earlier my record has the same song on both sides as you would expect for a demo but I can find no mention of this on the internet.

Given the recent interest in the group added to the fact (if it is true) that they only released 6 singles 2 of which are on the collectable Map City label apparantly out of N.Y.C. I was wondering if anyone could throw any light on this for me and tell me if my £5 purchase in 2001 from a church chaity fayre is a good buy or not.

Any info on group, label history, value or anything would be great , thanks.

p.s the £5 I paid was for a box full of records in a actual record box.
