Sublime mid-70s crossover that’s currently sailing under the radar. Just the one very recent YouTube entry, a single sale through Discogs and only a handful through eBay evidence both it’s rarity and obscurity. Seen sell for £250 in the past on eBay so this feels very reasonably priced.
Carl Douglas - Marble And Iron/Lean On Me (Buddha) Mint- (plus company sleeve) £75
Seems to be something of an overlooked 70s dancer these days, but it’s the totally under the radar flip - a superb crossover dancer - that does it for me (I understand this was covered up more recently but not sure who by or what as). Either way a quality double sider and well below its going rate.
Bob Corsey - A Tear In God’s Eye (Mont-Ego) Vg+ £100
Left-field psych/sweet soul/crossover song poem! Mega rare with just six copies through eBay three of which sold for over £200 with a top sale of £486! A unique sound and one that won’t appeal to everyone but definitely has something. Not previously on YouTube, clip below from actual 45.
