(I read this was recommended to a buyer by Dave Godin in 1971, proving that good records, whether they are rare or not stand the test of time on the scene. Mis-titled first press demo, should have been ‘Don't you ever leave me’)

Jimmy Norman – Family Tree – Mercury 72658 WD M- £125

(Big names always give us big tunes, Johnny Brantley and Otis Blackwell working with Jimmy to serve up this punchy soul burner)

Showmen – Our love will grow / You’re everything – Swan 4219 WD M- £200

(Impossible to pick one side over the other, both are so good. Norman Johnson pretty much at the helm for this superb group. Lovely copy)
