Hi everyone! I’m currently seeking label scans for my forthcoming book, and I could really use your help!
What’s the book about? In short, the book explores how soul music gave power and voice to the African American struggle for civil rights and identity. It focuses on politically charged 45s from the 1960s and ’70s, highlighting how the lyrics reflected the diverse challenges Black Americans faced during pivotal moments in history.
Ideal scan specifications:
US labels only
Clean labels with no writing or stickers
Minimum resolution: 1000x1000 pixels
300 dpi
TIF format preferred, or uncompressed JPG
1-inch black vinyl border around the label
Horizontally aligned (label centered)
If you don’t have access to a scanner, you can also use your phone camera. Just place the phone on a steady, flat surface and use the highest resolution setting.
If you’re able to contribute any relevant label scans, please send me a PM. Your support means a lot! I’m happy to offer £10 per scan to compensate you for your time.
Kind regards,
Tommy
