(What more can any self-respecting Soulie want than a powerhouse northern monster. For me one of the very best examples of a fit for purpose dance floor filler and my trigger for accelerating my old motor right up to the national speed limit, windows down – woohooh! Lovely copy on the red and white promo format, nuff said. Little mark on run in DNAP)
Teddy Randazzo – You don’t need a heart – DCP 1134 WD Ex+£150
(Beautiful beat ballad, right up there amongst the scenes best. Couple of handling marks that don’t affect play, otherwise M- tops side, flip does have a couple of marks and some minor label wear)
Sonji Clay – I can’t wait (until I see my baby’s face) – Songee 1002 Ex £60
(A tune that’s been covered a few times that’s for sure, but what a tune and Sonji does a grand job with her subtle crossover take)
Louis Jordan – 65 Bars – Tangerine WD M- £375
(Raw R&B dancer that’s eased its way on the NS scene. Not shown up much in the last few years, but here it is in what I believe is the glory of its rarest format and fabulous condition, the west coast Monarch pressing)
