Donald Jenkins & Delighters – Somebody help me – Cortland 112 Ex- £40
(Laid back Chicago group soul on the scintillating colour stock label. Couple of scuffs on the top side that DNAP, plays Ex or better. Drill hole)
Bobby Hanna – Everybody needs love – Decca 455 M- £40
(Gorgeous dancer, penned by Jobette’s Holland and Whitfield. Not so common New Zealand solid centre Decca release)
Little Irvin – Who’s loving you – Ivory 711 M- £75
(Light R&B dancer out of Houston, Texas, the powers by like a steam train, very nice)
Oran Ruffin Jr. – Workin’ on it – ILA 902 M- £30
(Catchy R&B dancer on an obscure LA label)
Four Tees – One more chance – Kent 4530 WD Ex £30
(Subtle group midtempo crossover, very nice)
Jimmy Helms – That’s the way it is – Oracle 1003 WD Ex £35
(Probably still under the radar, not surprised as Massachusetts is a backwater for great, traditional sounding Northern Soul. Couple of light marks on surface DNAP)
Herbie Goins & Night-Timers – Coming home to you – Parlophone 5533 Ex £60
(Gritty soul burner. KT stamped label with centre intact)

(Brilliant top side)
Jimmy Castor – Just you girl / Magic saxophone – Smash 2085 M- £30
(Lovely catchy mid-tempo dancer on the top side that demonstrates a softer side to Jimmy, backed with the more frantic ‘Magic Sax’. Drill hole, star stamp on top label, and tiniest edge lift DNAP)
